Capes News – January 2022

Christmas Tree Recycling

Please be advised that our landscapers are not able to take your “live” Christmas trees for disposal this year. If you have a tree that you need to get rid of, you can recycle it for free at the Tillamook Transfer Station (1315 Ekloff Road) now through January 23rd. They are open every day from 8am until 4pm. You will need to print and take this coupon with you: Christmas Tree Recycling

[Probably not the] Final Reminder of New Dues Rates

Just in case you missed the previous memos, here are the new monthly dues rates for 2022:

  • Townhomes – $277
  • Single Family Homes – $142
  • Cottages – $142
  • Undeveloped Lots – $129

If you use your bank’s autopay service, please make sure you update the payment amount, or you’re going to be overpaying this year, since the dues actually went down a little bit!

It’s That Time Again…

Terms will be up for reelection this April for three seats on the Board of Directors. All seats are for 3-year terms. Could one of those seats have your name on it?

If you are a go-getter who is interested in helping to effect positive change within the community by serving on the board, the first thing you’ll need to do is declare your intent to run. Your intention to run should be in writing and must be received via email or US Mail by 5:00 pm on Friday, February 18, 2022. All homeowners who will be running will be announced at the board meeting on February 19, 2022.

Here is the contact information for declaring your intent to run:

If you’ve got questions about board member responsibilities and/or obligations, feel free to ask. If you’d like to see the board in action, join us for the next meeting on Saturday, January 8, 2022 to see what it’s all about.

Calendar delays 🙁

If you’ve ordered one of our Capes 2022 calendars (or if you meant to order one and just haven’t gotten around to it yet…), I am sorry to announce that we are experiencing some delivery delays. A few days after our order was placed, the printer suffered some pretty major flooding at their facility, and they are slowly getting back up to speed after having to replace much of their equipment just after Christmas. I will let you know once I have them in hand!
